(HBO) – Hoa Binh has sent more than 300 tonnes of necessity goods to aid Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong’s COVID-19 fight.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ngo Van Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh, and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Thi Cam Phuong, among others, attended a sendoff ceremony of trucks of the necessity goods held at the provincial cultural palace on August 11 morning.

The province launched a campaign calling for donations of goods and necessities to support HCM City combat the coronavirus from August 6 – 10. The campaign has received more than 370 tonnes of goods and necessities, worth around 4.4 billion VND, and over 125.7 million VND in cash.
Some 100 military and public security officers have been deployed to escort the trucks loaded with the donated goods.
Speaking at the event, Tuan said he is deeply touched by the gesture of Hoa Binh’s people and thanked them for responding to the campaign and sending supports to the nation’s two largest COVID-19 hotspots.
It demonstrates solidarity and friendship between Hoa Binh and the two localities, he said./.
