(HBO) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 13 issued Decision No. 1401/QD-TTg recognising Lac Thuy district of Hoa Binh province as a new-style rural area in 2020.
The national target programme on building
new-style rural areascontributes to developing rural transport
infrastructure in Lac Thuy district.
After 10 years of implementingthe national target programme on building
new-style rural areas, all eight communesof Lac Thuy district met
new-style rural area standards. The locality also completed all nine criteria
for anew-style rural district in line with Decision No. 558/QD-TTg dated
April 5, 2016 issued by thePrime Minister.
The national target programme on building new-style rural areashas
effectively contributed to promoting socio-economic development in Lac Thuy
district.
The locality has witnessed remarkablechanges in its appearance. Its
economy recorded stable growth, while the economic structure shifted in the
right direction.
The district hasget a facelift in
bothmaterialandspiritual livesof localpeople. The
traditional cultural values of the locality have been preserved and developed,
while the quality of education and health care have been improved, and security
is maintained.
Attention has been also paid to consolidating thegrassroots-level and
district-level political systems.
In the 2011-2020 period, Lac Thuy district had over 7.76 trillion VND for the
national target programme on building new-style rural areas. Of the total, over
175.7 billion VND came from the State budget, more than 678.2 billion VND from
the local budget, and more than 814.5billion contributed by local people.
The district has not recorded outstanding debt in basic construction./.
