(HBO) – On the occasion of 87th anniversary of Vietnam Fatherland Front (18/11/1930 -18/11/2017), the people living in Sau Thuong Village, Thanh Luong Commune of Luong Son District organized the Festival Day of great national unity. The event was attended by Member of Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial Commission for Propaganda and Education Nguyen Van Toan, together with other officials of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Council, Provincial Youth Union, District Committee, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Luong Son District.
In Sau Thuong
village, there are currently 218 households with 960 people, Kinh people account for 15% while Muong
people make up 85%. The residential area is divided into 3 residential clusters
with 1 Party Cell of 35 party members. Since the implementation of the campaign
"All residents unite to build new rural and civilized urban area”, the village
has had many positive changes. Up to now, there is only 12 poor households
(accounting for 0, 55%), the average income per capita is over 25 million
dongs/ person/ year. There are also many people and household examples of doing
good business, over 60% of business households earn more than 120 million dongs
per year.

Over the past years, the people in the village have
united in building healthy spiritual cultural lives, preserving and promoting
national cultural identity, and caring the educational career and people’s
health. At present, there is a good maintaining club of 5 No 3 Clean, 01 club
of elderly association; 85,3% of the population participated in health
insurance. The village is a bright spot in solidarity to perform the Front
tasks well and helping each other in trouble. In 2017, over 41 million dongs
have been collected and supported for many funds, the tasks of regarding regime
to meritorious people, families under preferential treatment policy on the
special occasions of Lunar New Year, Days for Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers.
People living in the village positively carry out the village conventions
created by themselves, well obey all policies and guidelines of the Party,
regulations and laws of the State, as well as build a united council;
participate actively in the activities of hygiene and environmental protection.
Signing in 2018 emulating agreement, all the
organizations in the village are trying to implement well 3 cultural – family
standards, perform 5 contents of the campaign "All residents unite to build new
rural and civilized urban area”.
On this event, 179 households in our village are
approved as cultural families in 2017, 132 households are awarded the title of
cultural families in 3 continuous years (2015-2017); 27 typical households are
samples of cultural families in 3 continuous years (2015-2017).

People’s Committee, The People’s Council, Vietnam Fatherland Front Council, other local organizations and local
enterprises present flowers and gifts to Sau Thuong Village./.
Over recent years, the Farmers' Union of Mai Chau district has implemented numerous specific programmes and activities to support its members in developing products under the One Commune One (OCOP) programme. These efforts have contributed to enhancing local agricultural branding, increasing goods value, and improving incomes and living standards for residents.
Since 2022, the Hoa Binh Department of Education and Training has provided advice for the provincial People's Committee to issue Plan No. 219/KH-UBND on November 17, 2022, which outlines the implementation of a project titled "Enhancing the application of Information Technology (IT) and Digital Transformation in Education and Training for the 2022–2025 period, with a vision to 2030.” As of now, the local education sector has made significant progress in IT adoption and digital transformation.
Hoa Binh allocated over 30 trillion VND (nearly 1.18 billion USD) to develop infrastructure systems in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during 2019 - 2024. Priority was given to transport and irrigation infrastructure; markets; schools; medical stations; communal houses; and power grid, telecommunication, radio, and television systems.
The Hoa Binh provincial organising committee for anniversary activities on December 17 held a ceremony to unveil a ceramic mural on the local military-civilian ties and release a book on the Party and political work of the provincial armed forces during 1947 – 2024, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Festival.
In recent years, Hoa Binh has allocated significant resources to foster cooperative economy, helping ethnic minorities capitalise on their potential and advantages to escape poverty.
As a mountainous district still facing numerous challenges, Da Bac has made notable progress in advancing administrative reforms across various areas. The district has prioritised reorganising and streamlining its administrative apparatus, operating "one-stop-shop” units, and applying information technology (IT) in the handling of administrative procedures. Efforts have also been directed toward upgrading infrastructure and equipment to enhance service quality for residents and businesses.
