(HBO) - The Herbal Medicine Cooperative of Dao ethnic people in Hoa Binh was established in November 2020 with 15 members, who are the practitioners of traditional herbal medicine in Group 9, Thong Nhat Ward (Hoa Binh City). After more than a year of operation, with the help and the facilitation of the procedures as well as the access to the capital of the Women's Union of Hoa Binh City, the herbal doctors have more regular jobs, the precious traditional medicines of the Dao ethnic group such as treating liver, stomach, sinusitis, and osteoarthritis are widely known.

Ms. Trieu Thi Hoa, the Chairman of the Herbal Medicine Cooperative of Dao ethnic people in Hoa Binh said: Before, when the cooperative was not established, the business was done by the household, Dao people's medicines were mainly passed on by words. If it is effective, it is transmitted to the other person, so it has not been popularized and expanded, while the source of medicinal herbs in nature is increasingly scarce. When the cooperative was established, the first job the cooperative focused on was to actively plant medicinal herbs, therefore the cooperative provided each member with more than 1,000 medicinal seedlings of all kinds to plant; they invested more than 100 million dongs in balm cooking pots. The production is carried out according to the process, ensuring the standards from the drug washing area, the production area, the product packaging and product display area. 

Before the cooperative was established, the households did their own business, mainly retailing. After the cooperative was established, they were supported with the traceability stamps of the product, the production process and the packaging were supported, and promoting the products was introduced. Up to now, the cooperative has had 2 products with the registered trademarks, including Thao Moc Khoi balm, which specializes in treating stomach and large intestine, and Moc An Xoa balm, which supports high liver enzymes, hepatitis, and liver detoxification. The valuable medicine of the cooperative is widely known in the provinces and cities throughout the country, the market is extended to the pharmaceutical companies in Hanoi. 

Ms. Bui Thi Ba, a patient said: About half a month ago, I went to Herbal Medicine Cooperative of Dao ethnic people in Hoa Binh. At that time, the both sides of my waist sored, my limbs were numb, and it was so painful that I could not sit. After half a month of using the cooperative's herbal medicine, my health has improved a lot, there is no more pain, in the leg and back, and I can walk now. 

The medicine is effective and well known to many patients. On average, the Herbal Medicine Cooperative of Dao ethnic people in Hoa Binh sells about 1,000 sets of pills and 50 bottles of balm all kinds. The total revenue from selling the medcine reaches several hundred million dongs a year, and at the same time it creates regular jobs for the members with an income of 3-5 million dongs a month. In addition to the two products that have been certified and are widely known in the market, the cooperative continues collecting and researching the traditional medicines of Dao ethnic people to put into production and real products, especially the ones that are popular among the Dao ethnic people. such as foot soaking medcine, bath medicine, bone and joint medicine...
