Speaking at the session, Park introduced to the provincial leaders a system of new power generators utilizing water power, tunnel-based wind energy and tidal power. The system can be run when the speed of water flow reaches 6 kmper hour upwards with a minimum water depth of 5 meters.

According to the firm, it will take about three months to install the system and it can be used in up to 30 years. The new technology has many advantages such as causing no harm to the environment, easy to be uninstalled or removed when necessary, capable of producing electricity 24 hours per day, and generating profit a year after it is put into operation.

Park expressed his hope that the province will create favourable conditions for the company to survey the project and complete necessary procedures for it to be installed at the downstream area of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant.

Tinh, for his part, spoke highly of the new technology, saying it is a development trend. Installing the system at the downstream area of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant will be suitable and effective as the river flow there is very stable, he said, adding that the government prioritises the development of green energy.

The official also vowed to provide all possible conditions for the firm to soon carry out the project.
