(HBO) – The commune-level digital transformation model, which has been piloted in Nam Thuong commune (Kim Boi district) and Lien Son commune (Luong Son district) since July 2021, has proven effective, helping to develop a smart commune model with many benefits for local authorities and people.

 

Officials of the Nam Thuong Commune People's Committee use document management and administration system in their jobs.

According to the provincial Department of Information and Communications, the pilot of digital transformation model in the two communes have been actively implemented by enterprises and relevant units.

Telecommunication infrastructure in all villages and hamlets have been upgraded. Internet and 3G, 4G mobile networks have covered all the villages and hamlets.

The dedicated data transmission network have been set up, serving the deployment of e-administration and digital administration.

In order to achieve high efficiency in building the digital administration, the provincial steering committee and working groups have concentrated on improving IT application skills and those to use shared information systems of the province for the communes’ officials.

The model has helped create changes in the management and administration of the People's Committees of communes.

According to Vice Chairman of the Nam Thuong Commune People’s Committee Bui Van Toan, the digital transformation has contributed to facilitating the administration of the local authority.

Regarding digital economic development, OCOP products and specialities of the two communes such as Viba banana (Lien Son commune); zucchini and cucumber (Nam Thuong commune) have been offered for sale on Voso.vn and Postmart.vn e-commerce platforms, helping agricultural cooperatives and households in the localities expand product consumption channels and seek more partners.
