(HBO) – Cooperatives in Hoa Binh province have continuously innovated their operations by developing services supporting their members and models linking them with businesses and member households in product production and sales, thus contributing to generating more jobs for local people.

Average monthly income of labourers at Tuan Chuyen livestock service cooperative, Phu Thanh commune (Lac Thuy) ranges from 7-9 million VND per person.

Currently, the province has over 470 cooperatives with 6,203 members. In the first half of this year, each cooperative enjoyed an estimated revenue of 1.17 billion VND (over 50,000 USD), and an average profit of 127 million VND. The monthly income of a regular worker is averaged at 4.24 million VND. Cooperatives have flexibly developed in the direction of multi-industries, quickly grasped market needs to invest in production and business. In particular, those operating in the field of agriculture have gradually developed in a modern direction by applying advanced science and technology, and production processes following VietGAP and organic standards.

Tran Van Tuyen, Director of Long Vien Cooperative in Vu Ban town (Lac Son) shared that his cooperative specialises in producing stuffed animals for export to China. Currently, it has 150 sewing machines, of which 70 are at the cooperative's factory, and the remaining are associated with other cooperatives and businesses in the province. Therefore, the labour recruitment demand of the cooperative is very high, about several hundreds of employees.

Currently, there are about 100 employees working at the cooperative, with an average monthly salary of 4-6 million VND, while factory managers have income of 9-10 million VND per person. They have overcome their previous weaknesses and have great potential for growth. More new cooperatives have been established in remote communes. As many as 65% of communes have cooperatives that have actively contributed to developing agricultural economic development and new-style rural area building.

Many cooperatives have innovated their operation methods, and production and business in the direction of multi-industries; and paid attention to developing new models of cooperatives associated with value chains, thus contributing significantly to creating jobs and increasing incomes for local people./.
