(HBO) - Department of Education and Training has celebrated the 35 anniversary of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2017). Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, the Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee has attended and congratulated the anniversary.

Over the past years, with the attention and care from the leaders of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Council and all the people of different ethnic groups in the province, the provincial education and training has got many remarkable achievements. The size of the classrooms remains stable and meets the requirements of learning from all ethnic people in the province. The staff of managers and teachers has been constantly growing in both quantity and quality. There are currently about 20,767 staff, managers and teachers in total, including 17,505 teachers of all level with qualified standard and above. The quality of all-sided and comprehensive education has been enhanced. Up to now, in the whole province there are 1,245 national pupils, 23 of who have got the first prizes. The province has reached universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, universal primary education at level 3, universal secondary education at level 1 and attainment of level 2 illiteracy standards. The facilities are strengthened, until now, 37% of schools have achieved the national standards. The task of ideological education is being strengthened. In 2017, there are 8 Party Committees, 712 branches with 10,677 members in the whole education industry.

Speaking at the anniversary, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, The Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee on behalf of the provincial leaders, gave their congratulations to all the staff of managers and teachers in education and training industry in the province on the occasion of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day November 20th. He confirmed: in promotion of respecting teacher tradition, the society always pays attention and honors the generations of teachers who have made a lot of contribution to the provincial education career. In addition, all the efforts of the provincial education have been acknowledged and rewarded, especially positive efforts in overcoming difficulties and stabilizing teaching and learning after the floods in the province occurred in last September.
About the upcoming tasks, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee noted that the education and training Department should focus on implementing effectively all the proposed solutions and fulfilling the target tasks for the school year of 2017-2018. The training quality should be improved to be appropriate and meet the new requirements. The industry should base on the real situation to build and carry out the appropriate plans for completing successfully the targets set by the provincial Party Congress. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee emphasized: in the coming time, the education industry should pay attention to improving the quality of the teachers and managers; raising the proportions of semi-boarding pupils and taking care of the ethnic education. Especially, they should continue merging schools with considering the actual conditions appropriately. This merger must be oriented, focused, not massive, and ensured the efficiency and rationality.

Ceramic mural on Hoa Binh military-civilian ties inaugurated
