Nguyen Phi Long, alternative member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, visits Lac Son Plastics Co., Ltd., Lac Son district.
Son said that the formation and development of enterprises in the province is associated with the transformation and development of economic sectors in the country’s renewal process.
Along with the growth and development of Vietnamese entrepreneurs, the provincial Business Association is growing continuously, with nearly 1,000 members at present. Every year, member enterprises create hundreds of new jobs and stable income for tens of thousands of employees, with an average monthly salary of 8 million VND (326.8 USD).
In addition, enterprises have generated tens of trillions of VND in revenue and contribute trillions of VND to the provincial budget.
The above figures are a testament to the efforts by entrepreneurs and businesses to maintain production, create jobs, and increase income for labourers, thus making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province in particular and the country in general.
Regarding the role of the provincial Business Association in the development of the business and entrepreneur community, Son stated that over the past time, it has well performed its functions and duties in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of member enterprises; consulting and supporting them; and acting as a bridge between them and state management agencies. In addition, it has gradually bettered the organisational structure and the quality of operations in a professional and effective manner; and stepped up disseminations on guidelines and policies of the State to enterprises and investors, thereby affirming its position and role in the society.
The association has also paid attention to trade promotion activities, and connecting member enterprises with those inside and outside the province.
It has helped hold dialogues between provincial leaders and local enterprises to solve difficulties and obstacles facing them. However, there are still many opinions that have not been considered and resolved in a timely manner, failing to meet the expectation of enterprises, he admitted.
He went on to say that over the past time, businesses in the province have received attention and support of the province and localities in removing difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic by improving the business and investment environment; reducing lending interest rates and corporate income tax and land rent; and supporting production technology.
This is an important condition for businesses and entrepreneurs to overcome the difficult period to boost production and business, he added./.
