As part of efforts to prepare for the dialogue, local authorities delivered papers gathering opinions of foreign enterprises and those based in local industrial parks and responded to their proposals and recommendations.

In the first dialogue held in April 17, 2016 the province received 72 opinions, all of which were responded by local authorities. In the second dialogue on February 20, 2017, the authorities received and responded to 18 ideas.

The provincial People’s Committee directed the continued handling of the petitions in the statement 3805/TB-VP-UBND dated July 31.

Notably, the province responded to Jafa Comfeed Vietnam Company’s proposal to hire 1.2 hectares of land to expand its animal feed plant in Dan Hoa commune, and the other by Binh Minh Group on licenced projects and material region of Trung Son cement factory.

At the dialogue, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang instructed local departments, sectors and governments of districts and Hoa Binh city to directly answer requests and recommendations of businesses related to ground clearance, land reclamation, administrative procedures for building workers’ houses, the issuance of licences to construction material mines, as well as environmental pollution settlement and investment in infrastructure for resettlement areas.

Concluding the dialogue, Quang said that the organisation of the dialogue with investors and businesses is part of the province’s efforts to improve its investment and business environment following Resolutions 19 and 35 of the Government on measures to enhance national competitiveness and support business development until 2020.

Prior to the event, the provincial People’s Committee worked with local firms to deal with specific problems and obstacles facing them. The committee has also renovated and improved the quality of such a dialogue, thus promptly grasping the aspirations and expectations of enterprises as well as their difficulties. This will help the province give solutions and define duration and clear responsibility in supporting firms and investors, while building a government accompanying and serving businesses and people.

The Chairman of the People’s Committee also directed departments and agencies as well as local authorities to continue strengthening coordination in removing difficulties, thus helping them speed up their projects, including finalising procedures to grant licences for My Phong company’s soil mine in Yen Phu and Lac Son.

At the same time, the province will focus on clearing the ground for a cable car project of Thai Binh Duong company in Lac Thuy so that work on the project can be kicked off on schedule, while completing procedures for Almine Vietnam Company to start the construction of houses for workers.
