(HBO) - The route of Huong Binh cable car project in Phu Nghia commune (Lac Thuy) invested by Thai Binh Duong Group joint Stock Company is a key project of the province. The aim of this project is to connect Huong Son scenic (Huong Pagoda) - A special national relic site in My Duc district (Hanoi) with Tien Pagoda (a national monument) in Phu Nghia commune is expected to bring new tourism products, contributing to the socio-economic transformation of the locality and the area. The province is directing the solutions to remove difficulties for the project, aiming to start in May 2023.


Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate member of the Central Committee of the Party, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee worked with the investor of the Huong Binh cable car project.

The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in the Investment Policy Decision No. 72/QD-UBND, dated November 18, 2016 and adjusted in the Decision No. 76/QD-UBND, dated December 14, 2018, the investment capital The project investment is about VND 1,700 billion, the length of the whole route is about 2,965 km (Hoa Binh area 1,486 km; Hanoi area 1,479 km). A cable car route is about 2.85km long with a synchronous and modern construction plan according to the international and European standards. The cable car route includes 17 support posts, 2 stations to pick up and drop off passengers. In which, the cable car part located in Phu Nghia commune is about 1.55 km with 9 support posts, 1 passenger pick-up and drop-off station, the path, the parking lot, the ticketing area...; the cable car part located in Huong Son commune, My Duc district (Hanoi) is about 1.3km with 8 supporting posts, 1 passenger pick-up and drop-off station, four-pillar gate, the covered path and the ticket counter. It is expected that the cable car route after completion will meet the demand of transporting passengers with about 1,500-2,000 turns of passengers an hour, which is equivalent to 12,000-16,000 passengers a day. The project facilitates about 1.5 million turns of visitors to participate in the annual festivals of Huong Pagoda and Tam Chuc Pagoda, contributing to promoting the image and historical values to the domestic and foreign tourists.

Huong Binh cable car route aims to improve the traffic connectivity between the two relic sites, creating the favorable conditions and shortening the travel time between the two scenic spots, contributing to improving the quality of tourism services in 2 relics of Hanoi city and Hoa Binh province.

Over the past time, the province has focused on directing the functional sectors to coordinate with the investors and the related units to assist in removing difficulties to implement the project. Recently, the province has made this project one of the key projects of the province, which has been assigned a Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to directly direct the relevant units to work with the investors to speed up the project. Regarding the site clearance, the total recovered land area is about 35.05 ha, of which the area in Hoa Binh province is 17.19 ha; the area in Hanoi city is 17.86 ha. The project's legal procedures have been basically completed in the province and Hanoi city so far. The investors have gathered the equipment and machinery at the construction site; they have paid the land rent to the state and they have been granted a certificate of the right of land use, and 1/500 of master plan has been completed, appraising the basic design. In April 2023, the Department of Construction issued a document guiding the investors to complete construction procedures.

Mr. Bui Trung Kien, the Secretary of Lac Thuy District’s Party Committee says: Determining that this is an important project of the province, which creates a breakthrough for the tourism development of the whole region, Lac Thuy district has collaborated with the relevant ministries, the central agencies and other localities to assist investors in removing difficulties in procedures for project implementation recently. Accordingly, the district has mobilized the whole political system to get involved and support the investors to carry out site clearance, and it has basically completed and handed over an area of about 17.1 hectares t the investors. Some households have not yet agreed to accept the compensation unit price for the site clearance. The district is directing the relevant departments, committees and authorities of Phu Nghia commune to continue propagating and mobilizing the people to support the policy for the project implementation, focusing on the officials and the party members whose relatives are affected by the the recovery of land and assets on land. Recently, the Steering Committee for provincial key projects has convened to conclude that the functional departments and agencies, Lac Thuy district should support the investors to complete the prescribed procedures to start the project for Huong Binh cable car and the project of Lac Thuy cultural tourism and resort area in Phu Nghia commune in May 2023.
