(HBO) - On June 6, more than 10,400 candidates of the province entered the first day of the entrance exam for grade 10 ofthe public high school in the school year of 2023-2024 with 2 subjects: Literature and English. In which, in the morning, it was a Literature exam (the time was 120 minutes); English exam in the afternoon (60 minutes).

In general, the exam questions are reasonable, the knowledge is completely in the curriculum and it has been carefully reviewed by the teachers. Noted at the test points at the end of the first day of the test, many candidates did well with a relaxed and confident mentality.
On the first day of the test, 32 candidates did not show up for the exam. Previously, in the whole province there were10,462 candidates registering for the exam. The organization at the examination points took place ensuring security, safety and strictness in all stages, there were no candidates or examination officials violating the regulations, and there was no unusual incidents.
In the morning of June 7, the candidates took the Math exam (120 minutes) as the last subject in the three general exams, the same exam questions and the same exam schedule in the whole province. After that, the examination board at Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted and the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minority would organize the exams for the specialized and high-quality subjects from the afternoon of June 7 to the end of June 8.
The entrance exam for the public high school of grade 10 in the school year of 2023-2024, the total target for 36 public high schools is 8,794 and 610 students for ethnic minority high schools. The whole province applies the method of entrance exam for the public high schools of grade 10 (holding only once) and admission for the private schools.
According to the expected schedule of the Department of Education and Training, on June 19-20, the first enrollment results and the school's benchmarks would be announced; On July 14, the results of the re-examination would be announced and the results of the second round of admissions would be approved.
