(HBO) – An array of activities will be held within the framework of the first Da River Fish-Shrimp Festival and the Agricultural Fair and Exhibition of OCOP products in the northern midland and mountainous region in 2023 (Festival and Exhibition) from October 26-31, heard a meeting of the organising board on October 5.

The events are organised to promote aquatic
production in Hoa Binh province, while creating opportunities to popularise and
promote the brand of Da River fish and shrimp.
They will feature a fish worshipping and lantern
floating festival on Da River on October 26, a national aquatic conference on
October 27, an opening ceremony on October 27, a fishing contest on October 28,
releasing fry into the reservoir of Hoa Binh Hydropower plant on October 30,
and a talk seeking measures to protect and develop aquatic resources in the Da
River basin on October 31.
To date, the province has completed all contents
for the Festival and Exhibition, built websites to popularise local
agricultural achievements, and joined hands with press agencies to enhance
communications work about the events.
At the meeting, participants gave their opinions
on the organisation of the festival, reached consensus on the programme
timeline. They also stressed the need to ensure sufficient
water for the fish worshipping festival as well as social order, food safety
and environmental issue.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s
Committee Dinh Cong Su asked competent sides to enhance coordination for good
preparation, and complete detailed plans for the events.
Along with sound infrastructure, due regard
should be paid to ensuring social order and environmental issue, he said,
adding more attention should be paid to communications activities for the
events.
On November the first, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting for the reports on the progress of preparations to hold the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of the special national relic ranking for Trai Cave, the Stone Roof of Vanh village (Lac Son district) and the Opening Ceremony of the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024. The congress is slated for November 14-15 at the provincial Cultural Palace, expecting 250 official delegates.
