Over the years, Kim Boi district has implemented many patriotic emulation movements to create momentum and foundation for the building of a locality with firm political situation, developed economy and stable defence-security.

In the 2018-2022 period, Kim Boi had 33 collectives and individuals honoured by the State President and Prime Minister, along with 336 others commendedby the leader of the provincial People’s Committee, 1,488 role models and 9,773 receiving the title of advanced labour models. Particularly, in 2019, the Party organisation, administration and people in Kim Boi were honoured with the third-class Labour Order from the State President.

Patriotic emulation movements have been launched in all areas in association with the situation and political tasks of each agency and locality. Outstanding movements include those on all-people joining hands in building civilised life in residential areas, new-style rural area building, administrative reform, and supporting the poor.

In the field of agricultural production, thanks to patriotic emulation movements, so far, the district has developed 16 production chains combined with product selling, with 10 products earning three-star rating by the OCOP (One Commune-One Product) Programme. The living conditions of locals have been improved, with the per capita income topping 48 million VND (1,978 USD) per year. The rate of poor households has been reduced to about 12.29% from 30.17% in 2016. Currently, Kim Boi has four communes recognised as new-style rural areas.

Meanwhile, the movement of all people joining hands in building cultural life has been implemented extensively and intensively. The National Solidarity Festival has been organised in all villages across the district, while outdated customs have been eliminated.

Le Thi Hai Yen, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Kim Boi Council for Emulation and Reward said that the district has paid great attention to strengthening popularisation and implementation of the Party and State’s policies and laws regarding emulation and rewarding activities.

The movements have contributing to encouraging local officials, Party members and residents to promote their enthusiasm, creativity as well as the fine tradition of the locality, thus fostering solidarity and consensus in building and boosting the growth of the Muong Dong area.

Ceramic mural on Hoa Binh military-civilian ties inaugurated
