A scholarship award ceremony for disadvantaged students, co-organised by Hoa Binh's Department of Education and Training, the provincial education promotion association, and the Phoenix Golf Course Co., Ltd., took place in the province on January 15.
Prominent figures
present at the event included Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party
Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc
Hinh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman
of the provincial People's Council; Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the
provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee;
and Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee. Also
in attendance were Korean Consul General Park Jong Kyoung, Chairman of the
Charm Vit Group Lee Dae Bong, and Director of the Phoenix Golf Course Co.,
Ltd. Yoon Chul Ho.

At the ceremony, the company awarded 300 scholarships, each valued at 2 million
VND (81.48 USD), to disadvantaged students from various districts and Hoa Binh
city.
Since 2010, it has granted 3,500 scholarships worth 6.35 billion VND in total
to students in 10 localities of the province. The initiative has offered many
with challenging circumstances the means to attend school and strive for
excellent academic performances.

Over the years, the provincial Party Committee, administration, and people have
consistently prioritised the development of the education sector, focusing on
nurturing and supporting the learning journeys of successive generations of
students. This commitment has been reflected in the increasing diversification
and depth of educational and talent promotion activities within local schools
and society.
On this occasion, the provincial education promotion association conferred a
golden award upon the Phoenix Golf Course Co. Ltd. to honour its education
promotion efforts.

In recent years, Mai Ha commune in Mai Chau district has been making efforts to restructure its crops and livestock to improve production efficiency, enhance the quality of life, and increase income for local residents. Notably, the cultivation of watermelon in line with Vietnamese Goods Agricultural Practices (VietGAP) standards has helped local people escape poverty.
Hoa Binh province scored 43.5493 points in the 2023 Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), ranking 20th out of the 63 provinces and cities nationwide, up 23 places compared to the 2022 list. The results show people's satisfaction with the effectiveness of implementing State policies and laws, local governance, and providing public services by authorities at all levels in the province.
