(HBO) – On the occasion of the Christmas holiday 2017, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and head of the provincial Steering Committee for Religious Affairs Tran Dang Ninh visited and extended congratulations to the Hoa Binh parish.
Ninh presented gifts and flowers of the provincial
Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland
Front (VFF) Committee to the Hoa Binh parish and wished a peaceful and merry
Christmas and New Year to Catholic dignitaries and followers.
He briefed them about the province’s socio-economic performance 2017 and spoke
highly of the Hoa Binh parish Council’s role in urging Catholics to stay united
for local socio-economic and cultural development.
Ninh wished that the Hoa Binh parish will uphold the spirit of patriotism, live
the gospel amidst the nation and follow the motto of "a good Catholic is a good
citizen” as well as abide by the Party and State guidelines and policies.
Priest Nguyen Trung Thoai thanked the provincial leaders for their support to
the local parish and Catholic followers. Hoa Binh Archdiocese is home to more
than 4,000 Catholic followers. Last year, their lives improved while religious
activities were in line with the Party and State policies and regulations.

On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of
Home Affairs wished Cardinal, priests and Catholic followers a warm and merry
Christmas. He hoped that they would continue encouraging Catholic followers to

regulations, further contributing to the nation.
