A delegation of leaders of Hoa Binh province led by alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long on June 21 paid tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap at his grave in Vung Chua - Yen Island of Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.

Binh province visit the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Chua - Yen
Island.
The visit was part of their tour to historical
sites ahead of the 78th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July
27, 1947–2025).
The delegation included Bui Thi Minh, Standing
Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the
provincial People's Council; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial
Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and other
members of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation offered
flowers and incense, and observed a moment of silence to express their respect
to General Giap for his great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the
Party and the Vietnamese people.
They pledged to fulfil their responsibilities
and strive to contribute to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the
nation, for the sustainable development of the province in the new period and
for national construction in the new era.
General Vo Nguyen Giap was born on August 25,
1911 in a patriotic Confucian scholar family in Loc Thuy commune of Le Thuy
district, Quang Binh province. For more than 80 years of revolutionary
activities, he dedicated himself to the struggles for national liberation as
well as the Fatherland construction and safeguarding process. He was assigned
many important responsibilities by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the
people.
No matter what position he held, General Giap
always followed President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, putting the interests
of the Party, the revolution, and the people first. He was an outstanding
military figure and a highly prestigious leader of the Party, State, and people
of Vietnam.
The Hoa Binh provincial People's Committee held a monthly meeting on May 29 to assess the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first six months of 2025, the progress of key projects, and some other important issues.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always expressed his deep affection and special concern for children and youth. He once emphasized: "Caring for and educating children well is the responsibility of the entire Party and the entire people”; "First of all, the family (i.e. grandparents, parents, siblings) must do this job well”. "the Party Committees…, the Children’s Committee, the Youth Union, the education sector, and all related organizations must have specific plans to ensure children grow healthier and more progressive”. His teachings has been remaining valuable and serving as the guiding principles in the work of protecting, caring for, and educating children. In line with this ideology, Hoa Binh Province has continuously been prioritizing and investing resources in the well-being of children in recent years.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to provide opinions on several investment projects within the province. There was the attendance of Ms. Bui Thi Minh, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Bui Đuc Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and other members of the Standing Committee; the leaders from other departments, agencies, and some localities.
The Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hoa Binh province held a meeting on May 28 to honour outstanding village elders, village heads, and reputable individuals from local ethnic minority and religious communities.
In mid-May, the provincial Museum organised an exhibition named "Duoi la co Dang Cong san Viet Nam quang vinh” (Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam). This meaningful activity took place in the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the country's major holidays and the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
A delegation from Hoa Binh province led by Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem, Commander of the provincial Military Command, completed a mission to visit and encourage officers and soldiers stationed on Truong Sa and a DK1 platform from May 20 to 26 as part of activities of the Vietnam People’s Navy. The delegation included 12 senior officials from various provincial agencies and units.
