(HBO) - Tan Vinh commune (Luong Son) is one of the localities with the strong movement of the public arts performance in the district. Through lyrics and dances, it has contributed to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Muong ethnic people. The unique cultural values of Muong ethnic people have brought new vitality in the spiritual life for the people, making an important contribution to the movement of building a new cultural life.

Vinh commune (Luong Son) are actively training to participate in the major
festivals in the locality.
Ms. Phung Thi Kim Thuy, the cultural officer of Tan Vinh
commune says that there are 85% of the population in the commune are Muong
people. The culture of Muong ethnic people is unique and diverse. Therefore, in
the past time, the Party Committee and the appropriate authorities of Tan Vinh
commune have paid the special attention to preserving the national cultural identity
through the movements of the public arts performance. There are 6 teams of
public arts performance and 1 performance team of the People's Committee in the
whole commune. Each team has between 15 and 25 popular actors. Stemming from
passion for singing, the members of the teams voluntarily contribute money to
operate. The songs and dances organized by the members themselves and performed
at major anniversaries such as the Lunar New Year, the International Women's
Day 8th March, the National Day September 2nd and so on.
In order to preserve the cultural identity of the Muong
ethnic people, the Party Committee and the appropriate authorities of Tan Vinh
commune has planned for the extensive propaganda among the people so that they
have been participating in the preservation of Muong gong. Every year, the
People's Committee of the commune organizes an inventory of the number of gongs
in each family. Currently, there are 12 ancient gongs and 72 regular gongs in
the whole commune. Each village has established a gong club, in which Dong
Chieng and Dong Tien hamlets are the two villages with the most number of gongs
and gong artisans in the commune.
There are 30 gong artisans in the whole commune. The gong
artists are the ones who teach gong to the younger generation. They are also
the core force of the commune to participate in gong shows at the major events
organized by Luong Son district. Every year, the People's Committee of the
commune appoints the leader of the hamlet's cultural teams to train on gong
beating skills organized by the Office of Culture and Information of the
district. At the end of the training course, the team leader will guide the
skills of gong beating for the younger generation in each hamlet.
The people in Tan Vinh commune are always aware of
preserving the folk songs, Sac bua singing, Bo Meng singing, Vi Dum singing and
some folk dances of Muong ethnic people.
In the spirit of "Party members go first, the people follow”, all households of Party members in the Doan Ket sub-region in Da Bac town, Da Bac district, voluntarily removed gates and fences, and donated land when the road expansion project passed through their properties. Inspired by their example, 68 households in the sub-region quickly followed suit, contributing over 1,400 sq.m of residential and perennial cropland to widen the main road through the residential area. The exemplary role of Party members in Doan Ket stands as a shining example of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle.
The Hoa Binh provincial People's Committee held a monthly meeting on May 29 to assess the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first six months of 2025, the progress of key projects, and some other important issues.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always expressed his deep affection and special concern for children and youth. He once emphasized: "Caring for and educating children well is the responsibility of the entire Party and the entire people”; "First of all, the family (i.e. grandparents, parents, siblings) must do this job well”. "the Party Committees…, the Children’s Committee, the Youth Union, the education sector, and all related organizations must have specific plans to ensure children grow healthier and more progressive”. His teachings has been remaining valuable and serving as the guiding principles in the work of protecting, caring for, and educating children. In line with this ideology, Hoa Binh Province has continuously been prioritizing and investing resources in the well-being of children in recent years.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to provide opinions on several investment projects within the province. There was the attendance of Ms. Bui Thi Minh, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Bui Đuc Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and other members of the Standing Committee; the leaders from other departments, agencies, and some localities.
The Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hoa Binh province held a meeting on May 28 to honour outstanding village elders, village heads, and reputable individuals from local ethnic minority and religious communities.
In mid-May, the provincial Museum organised an exhibition named "Duoi la co Dang Cong san Viet Nam quang vinh” (Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam). This meaningful activity took place in the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the country's major holidays and the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
