(HBO) - Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of Hoa Binh province, has chaired a meeting of permanent members of the provincial Party Committee with discussions focusing on COVID-19 prevention and control, and socio-economic development.

Over the past time, Hoa Binh province has strictlyimplemented
the Prime Minister’s DirectiveNo. 16onCOVID-19 prevention and
control. Accordingly, authorities at all levels have strictly and effectively
followed the social distancing order from April 1-15.
The province has to date recorded no COVID-19 cases. However, the
pandemic has seen complicated and unpredictable developments. Local people and
businesses will face difficulties if the pandemic prolongs.
Addressing the meeting, Bui Van Tinh said Hoa Binh is listed in
the group of low-risk provinces and cities thanks to the joint efforts of the
whole political system in strictly implementing countermeasures. He called on
local people and authorities at all levels to keep vigilant because the
pandemic can become complicated.
He urged authorities at all levels and sectors to strengthen their
leadership and roll out drastic measures to prevent and control the pandemic.
The province needs to continue developing plans and scenarios in
response to the pandemic while focusing on socio-economic development tasks.
Tinh also suggested resuming operations of several sectors and
schools while ensuring the prevention and control of COVID-19.
Communication campaigns should be continued to raise public
awareness of countermeasures among locals, he said. Tinh requested departments and sectors to carefully review, thus
ensuring the effective implementation of theGovernment’s Resolution
No.42/NQ-CP on measures toprovide support for people affected by COVID-19.
The official also urged heads of party committees and people’s
committees at all levels and relevant sectors to remove "bottlenecks” for key
projects and works, thus contributing to the local socio-economic development./.
