At the ceremony taking place at the relic site within the school, the historical visit on August 17 in 1962 was recalled. At the event, President Ho Chi Minh said the school is to teach young people to both study and work, and to serve in rural areas and at cooperatives. Therefore, it is necessary to learn the professions and industries related to the development of agricultural production and rural areas, he added.

The leader's remarks became the guideline for all activities of the school during its construction and development. Established on April 1, 1958, and running under the model of "learning by doing", the educational establishment earned the title of Hero of Labour on August 29, 1985.

The gathering attracted hundreds of teachers and students from different generations, offering them a meaningful occasion to remember the history of their school and the late President; to show their gratitude for the Party and State; and to promote the President’s ideology, morality and lifestyle./.
