(HBO) - Hoa Binh provincial Police on June 30 held a conference to evaluate performance in the first six months of 2023 and introduce key tasks for the last six months of the year.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council Bui Duc Hinh, and Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Chuong attended the conference.

It was reported that in the first six months of 2023, the provincial police well grasped the security and order situation in the locality, proactively advised Party committees and authorities at all levels to solve complex issues related to information security, and ensured safety at important political events in the province. Police investigated and cracked down on 357 out of the 386 cases of criminal offenses. 

 

Provincial police have completed the collection of dossiers for granting citizenship identity to all eligible people, making Hoa Binh province one of the 19 provinces and cities in the country to finish early to issue chip-based IDs; successfully issued and activated 202,145 e-IDs.

Traffic police detected and recorded 11,830 violations in the first half of this year, including 4,725 cases of drink-driving. In particular, the province started using a security camera system to identify and punish traffic violators.

At the conference, representatives of agencies and units of the provincial police discussed issues to further identify shortcomings and limitations to overcome in the coming time. They also agreed on key tasks for the last months of 2023.

Speaking at the conference, Hinh applauded the police for their good performance. 

He emphasised that in the coming time, crime prevention and control will continue to face potential difficulties and complications, requiring further improvement of the state management of security and social orders. At the conference, 139 collectives and 388 individuals were rewarded by all levels and sectors./.
