The Hoa Binh provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has held a conference to unveil the results of a sociological survey on the military - civil bonds in the era of the Tay Tien (Marching Westwards) soldiers. The event was also attended by leaders of the information and education board, the mass mobilisation board, and the Office of the provincial Party Committee, along with some relevant departments and sectors.

At the event, participants were provided with a
brief introduction of the sociological survey on the military - civil bonds in
the era of Tay Tien soldiers to learn about its initial results.
They were also informed about conclusions made
at two scientific seminars on the topic in Mai Chau and Lac Son districts. The
conclusions affirmed the contributions by Regiment 52 Tay Tien to the
revolutionary movement in the two localities. Besides, they clarified the
leadership of the Party and the two districts’ administrations during the
resistance war against French colonialists, when all forces and people of all
strata were mobilised for the fight and joined hands in protecting, caring for,
and assisting Tay Tien soldiers despite hardships of the fierce war.
The provincial Union of Science and Technology
Associations suggested that in the time ahead, the districts should continue
perfecting dossiers to propose the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and
Tourism seek the provincial People’s Committee’s recognition of the
headquarters of Regiment 52 Tay Tien in Mai Hich commune (Mai Chau district) as
a provincial revolutionary historical relic site, and propose the provincial
administration seek the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s recognition
of the site of Regiment 52 Tay Tien in Thuong Coc commune (Lac Son district) as
a national historical relic site.
The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee has issued a conclusion reviewing the three years implementing its resolution on preserving and promoting cultural values in Hoa Binh province for 2021 – 2025 with a vision towards 2030.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh expressed his hope for more support from the European Union (EU) and the French Development Agency (AFD) for the local development, while hosting a delegation from the two organisations led by Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Shinas on October 23.
During her working visit to Hoa Binh province on October 18, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan toured a site where late President Ho Chi Minh once stayed when he visited the Kim Boi district’s Party Committee. She was accompanied by officials from various ministries, agencies, and central organisations.
A ceremony was held in Kim Boi district on October 18 in the presence of Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice State President, to mark 60 years since President Ho Chi Minh visited and met with the Party Committee of Kim Boi district (September 19, 1964 - 2024) and the 65th founding anniversary of the district (April 17, 1959 - 2024), and to receive the third-class Labour Order.
