Mai Chau district's Veteran Union has just organized the Emulation Congress for "Exemplary Veterans” in Mai Chau district for the period of 2019 – 2024.

The collectives and individuals with the
outstanding achievements the Emulation Congress for "Exemplary Veterans” in Mai
Chau district for the period of 2019 – 2024 are rewarded.
In the period of 2019 - 2024, the Veteran
Union at the grassroots levels in the district has introduced 38 veteran
members and the former soldiers to join the Party, bringing the total number of
the veteran members who are the party members to 1,128 people. The Union has
carried out 193 legal propaganda, dissemination and education activities with
the participation of over 10,450 members. Every year, 100% of the grassroots
unions are evaluated and classified as having completed their tasks well, the
exemplary members reach 95%, the member’s families with the cultural standards
reach 95%.
The emulation movement "Veterans help each
other reduce poverty and make good business” has been launched and implemented
effectively by the union at all levels in the district. Currently, the whole of
the eu has 346 economic models owned by the veteran members, attracting 1,247
employees. The results of implementing the movement "Veterans help each other
reduce poverty and make good business” has contributed to the local effective
implementation of the National Target Program for the sustainable poverty
reduction.
In addition, the veteran union of Mai Chau
District has been actively coordinating with the functional agencies to advise
the Party Committee, the government to lead and direct the good implementation
of the military-rear policy, the gratitude work, and the the regimes and
policies related to veterans. In the past 5 years, they have visited and given
1,395 sets of gifts worth over 412 million VND to the beneficiaries; Helping
the families under the preferential policies and the members overcome natural
disasters and fires with over 5,460 working days and over 19 million VND;
Supporting the members in difficult circumstances with housing, building new
and repairing and upgrading 21 houses, worth 375 million VND.
With its achievements, the Veteran Union Mai
Chau District has been awarded the excellent emulation flags by the Veteran
Union of Central Vietnam and the Provincial People's Committee for many years;
There were 18 collectives and 23 individuals awarded the certificates of merit
at all levels; 17 turns of collectives and 48 turns of individuals were awarded
the certificates of merit; 573 members were awarded medals Vietnam Veteran
Union.
On this occasion, the Provincial Public
Security awarded the certificates of merit to Mai Chau town's Veteran Union for
the outstanding achievements in the movement of all people protecting the
national security in the period of 2019 - 2024. Mai Chau district’s People's
Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 15 collectives, 20 individuals
with the outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Exemplary
Veterans” in the period of 2019 - 2024.
In the spirit of "Party members go first, the people follow”, all households of Party members in the Doan Ket sub-region in Da Bac town, Da Bac district, voluntarily removed gates and fences, and donated land when the road expansion project passed through their properties. Inspired by their example, 68 households in the sub-region quickly followed suit, contributing over 1,400 sq.m of residential and perennial cropland to widen the main road through the residential area. The exemplary role of Party members in Doan Ket stands as a shining example of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle.
The Hoa Binh provincial People's Committee held a monthly meeting on May 29 to assess the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first six months of 2025, the progress of key projects, and some other important issues.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always expressed his deep affection and special concern for children and youth. He once emphasized: "Caring for and educating children well is the responsibility of the entire Party and the entire people”; "First of all, the family (i.e. grandparents, parents, siblings) must do this job well”. "the Party Committees…, the Children’s Committee, the Youth Union, the education sector, and all related organizations must have specific plans to ensure children grow healthier and more progressive”. His teachings has been remaining valuable and serving as the guiding principles in the work of protecting, caring for, and educating children. In line with this ideology, Hoa Binh Province has continuously been prioritizing and investing resources in the well-being of children in recent years.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, the alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to provide opinions on several investment projects within the province. There was the attendance of Ms. Bui Thi Minh, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Bui Đuc Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and other members of the Standing Committee; the leaders from other departments, agencies, and some localities.
The Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hoa Binh province held a meeting on May 28 to honour outstanding village elders, village heads, and reputable individuals from local ethnic minority and religious communities.
In mid-May, the provincial Museum organised an exhibition named "Duoi la co Dang Cong san Viet Nam quang vinh” (Under the flag of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam). This meaningful activity took place in the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the country's major holidays and the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
