The 7th congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF)'s chapter in Hoa Binh province for 2024-2029 tenure is an important political event for the youth, marking a new development in youth affairs and movements in the locality, said Nguyen Duy Tu, President of the chapter.
In an interview granted to Hoa Binh newspaper, Tu, who is
also Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU)'s Hoa Binh
chapter, said the province has more than 105,000 youngsters, of them youth
union members accounting for 72%.

He said local youths are enjoying favourable conditions for
comprehensive development. Their knowledge, professional skills, health and
legal awareness are gradually improving. The majority of them are proactive,
confident, creative, and quickly adaptive to new scientific and technological advancements,
and show the spirit of pioneering and community sharing.
Activities, programmes, and movements launched by the
provincial youth federation are being implemented effectively, creating an
environment for young people to prove their role, he added.
Notably, during the past term, the movement "I love my
Fatherland" has been put in place across the province to carry forward
creativity among youngsters in volunteer activities, thereby encouraging them
to show their patriotism through specific and practical actions. Many exemplary
individuals have been honoured, contributing to building a good image of the
new generation.
Inheriting the glorious tradition, all-level youth
organisations have actively participated in building, promoting, and monitoring
the implementation of youth-related policies, giving feedback to the Party's
guidelines and resolutions, as well as the State's policies and laws in this
regard.
Social welfare and volunteer activities have been actively
implemented by various youth organisations with the involvement of the entire
society, targeting disadvantaged youths and children, contributing to poverty
alleviation and social welfare in the province.
In the next tenure, the Hoa Binh chapter of VYF is
determined to achieve the targets set in the resolution of the 7th congress.
To this end, it will continue to inspire patriotism and
uphold the pioneering role and the sense of responsibility among youngsters in
pursuing economic, cultural, and social development goals, Tu said.
Attention will be paid to supporting vulnerable
groups and creating a favourable environment for young people to develop their
knowledge and skills, and take the pioneering role in building new-style rural
areas and civilised urban areas.
