The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee has held a conference to announce the provincial Party Committee’s decision about the merger of Hoa Binh Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station, along with the Standing Board’s appointment decisions.
Bui Thi Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, and head of the provincial Party Committee’s Organisation Board, chaired the event. The conference also saw the presence of other members of the Standing Board, including Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan, and head of the provincial Party Committee’s Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation Board Vo Ngoc Kien.

A leader of the provincial Party Committee’s Organisation Board announced the provincial Party Committee’s Decision No. 1510-QD/TU, dated April 18, 2025, on the merger of Hoa Binh Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station to form the new Hoa Binh Newspaper.
Accordingly, the new Hoa Binh Newspaper is a non-business public unit subordinate to the provincial Party Committee. It serves as the organ of the Party organisation, administration, and people of Hoa Binh province and also an information channel linking the Party and administration with the people. It performs information, communication, and journalism functions in line with the Party’s regulations and the State’s law.
The provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board’s decisions on the appointment of the newspaper’s Editorial Board were also announced at the conference.
Addressing the event, Bui Thi Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, stressed that the merger of Hoa Binh Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station marks an important milestone in streamlining the apparatus, reforming the organisational model, and promoting convergence, multimedia, and multi-platform journalism to better fulfill political tasks.
She asked Hoa Binh Newspaper quickly review and reorganise its apparatus in line with regulations and local conditions. In addition, it needs to step up training to ensure multifunctional and skilled personnel with professional ethics, capable of implementing political tasks in the new context.
In particular, the newspaper should proactively apply information technology and conduct digital transformation in accordance with the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57 while properly fulfilling the duty of covering local political tasks and socio-economic development.
Representing the newly appointed cadres, Editor-in-chief of Hoa Binh Newspaper Nguyen Van Tien appreciated the attention and favourable conditions created by the provincial Party Committee, its Standing Board, provincial leaders, and relevant agencies.
He pledged that the staff of Hoa Binh Newspaper will uphold solidarity to develop a comprehensively strong media outlet excellently implementing all assigned tasks.
