(HBO) – As part of efforts to join hands with the community in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty over seas and islands, on March 20, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh organized a fund raising campaign to support soldiers and locals in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago and DK1 platform in 2018.

According to the Standing Board of the provincial
Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, at the launching ceremony, 39 units and
individuals donated and registered to donate to the fund with total amount of over
300 million VND.
Notably, agencies and units with high donation
amount included the provincial Taxation Department with 80 million VND, the Department
of Agriculture and Rural Development, 40 million VND, the Department of Labor,
Invalids and Social Affairs, 40 million VND, Hoa Binh Hydropower Company 20
million VND, Dinh Nhuan Trading joint Stock Company, 15 million VND, Hoa Binh
Electricity Company 10 million VND, and the Hoa Binh branch of Lien Viet Bank
with 10 million VND.
Particularly, during the launching
ceremony, the fund received over 81.8 million VND. Of which, the Office of the provincial
People's Committee donated 10.4 million VND, the Sub-Department of Cultivation
and Plant Protection contributed 8.5 million VND and the Construction
Department gave 7.47 million VND. The Department of Traffic and Transport, the
provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Inspection and the Traditional
Medicine joint Stock Company donated 5 million VND each, while the provincial
Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Training contributed 4.7
million VND and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province also donated 4.32
million VND.
This donation showed the kind-hearted spirit of Hoa
Binh officials, public servants, enterprises and local donors for the national
seas and islands, aiming to encourage and provide material support to the
soldiers and locals in Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platform./.
In Hoa Binh province, 11 traditional craft villages with more than 400 small-scaled production households have put in place a clean and green production model, establishing new standards for sustainable development. Waste collection sites and wastewater treatment facilities have been meticulously managed by local residents.

The Hoa Binh provincial People's Committee held its monthly meeting on March 26 to review the progress of key projects, assess budget revenue and public investment disbursement, provide feedback on draft documents for submission to the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, and discuss other important matters related to the committee's governance activities.
