(HBO)– The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCM CYU) chapter of the bloc of provincial agencies has coordinated with the HCM CYU chapter of Lac Son district to launch the 2018 youth volunteer campaign named 2018 Pink Vacation at Dac village, Lac Son’s Tan Lap commune. The campaign attracted the participation of large numbers of HCM CYU members and young people from the bloc of provincial agencies and Tan Lap commune.

In accordance with the campaign’s plan, some youth-sponsored
projects have been completed and handed over to beneficiaries. Youth union
members conducted communications activities to popularise the Law on Land
Traffic, such as distributing leaflets and helmets to local residents.
A total of 3,000 trees were planted in response to the province’s
programme of "Planting 1 million trees for a green Hoa Binh.” The club of young
officials in the province donated 20 kg of fish fry to young people in Tan Lap
and helped them with fish farming techniques.
Representatives from the HCMCYU chapter of the bloc of provincial agencies visited and presented gifts
to poor households and families of revolution contributors in the commune, and
assisted in the building of 20 hygienic toilets.
The youth volunteers also gathered local children for summer
activities.

The volunteer campaign is one of annual activities of the
provincial HCM CYU with the aim of
providing a chance for young officials, youth union members and young people in
general to demonstrate their pioneer spirit in serving the community. Such
activities also contribute to building the image of dynamic and creative youth
members who always accompany people in remote and disadvantaged areas in the
province, while creating an environment for young people to train themselves
and contribute to the community.
In Hoa Binh province, 11 traditional craft villages with more than 400 small-scaled production households have put in place a clean and green production model, establishing new standards for sustainable development. Waste collection sites and wastewater treatment facilities have been meticulously managed by local residents.
To make it easier for the residents to handle administrative procedures, Yen Bong Commune (Lac Thuy District) has identified the administrative reform as one of its key tasks. By implementing a range of synchronized solutions, the commune has seen the positive changes in the administrative reform, meeting the needs of its people.
