(HBO) - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province has coordinated with the provincial Association of Tourism to hold a professional competition room in 2018.

There were 22 contestants from 12 units and hotels in the province. Candidates had to take part in 2 parts of the test, the theory and practice. At the practical examination, the candidates performed bed-making and bed-dressing services according to their ideas; flower arrangements and thematic presentations; handling with practical case through theatrical form.

Ms. Bui Thi Nien, the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded first prize to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung (Hoa Binh Hotel).

 

This competition was aimed to evaluate the quality of bedding managers and staffs working in hotels in the province and give the hotel staff the opportunity to exchange experience and improve their experience, professional skills, contributing to standardize the staff of managers, staff rooms in the hotel. At the same time, the management staff and chamber staff will be selected to participate in the national chamber competition in 2018 organized by Vietnam Tourism Association at the end of September.

At the end of the competition, the Organizer awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 5 consolation prizes and 3 additional prizes for excellent contestants. Of those, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung (Hoa Binh Hotel) won the first prize. The second prizes were given to contestants Bui Minh Hai (Grand Hotel), Trinh Thi Thuy (Kim Boi Mineral Union Hotel) and the third prizes were given to Nguyen Thi Bich Hong (Dong Nhan Hotel), Bui Thi Hien (An Lac Eco Farm Hotel), and Ha Thi Hao (Mai Chau Ecolodge Hotel).
