According to a report delivered at the meeting,
the Party Committees and administrations of Son La and Hoa Binh provinces have
given drastic directions to local authorized forces to coordinate closely with
specialized forces of the Ministry of Public Security so as to fight drug crime
and other crimes, reaping important outcomes. From September 2016 to August

ensured. Criminal activities have also been suppressed, contributing to local
socio-economic development.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong and
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang applauded the
outcomes obtained by Hoa Binh, Son La and relevant agencies.
Regarding focal tasks in the time ahead, the
deputy minister asked the Party Committees and People’s Committees of Hoa Binh
and Son La to reinforce and improve operations of local political systems,
especially in communes and villages, thereby promoting the capacity of
managing, steering and implementing the assigned political tasks, particularly
promoting the "All people protect the Fatherland’s security” movement,
strengthening defence-security in border areas, and preventing drug trafficking
into Vietnam.
He also ordered police and border guard forces
to drastically combat drug-related criminals in Loong Luong, Hang Kia and Pa Co
communes and nearby areas. They must pay attention to criminals who are in the
wanted list and continue to involve in drug crime.
The forces need to coordinate with relevant
ministries and sectors to submit to the Government socio-economic development
plans so as to make these areas no longer isolated and improve the material and
spiritual life of local residents, especially Mong ethnics.
