(HBO) - In the first quarter of 2020, import-export activities of Hoa Binh province have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Twenty-four enterprises trading goods with the Chinese market suffered a lack of raw material supply and slow delivery progress, thus affecting production directly.
Operation of
foreign-invested Pacific Co., Ltd. specialising in exporting agricultural
products is almost not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
During January-March, export turnover is projected at 162.3
million USD, down 1.41 percent year-on-year, and making up 15.73 percent of the
yearly target. Of the total, 152.2 million USD comes from the export of goods,
down 1.77 percent and representing 15.42 percent of the yearly plan, while
services exports are projected at 10.17 million USD, up 4.36 percent and
equivalent to 22.36 percent of the yearly target. Exports which are little
affected by the pandemic and have stable market include vegetables and fruits,
agricultural products and services.
Meanwhile, the province’s import turnover reaches 118.4
million USD, down 10.43 percent year-on-year and equal to 13.53 percent of the
yearly target./.
