(HBO) – The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh on February 25 held a ceremony to honour collectives and individuals with outstanding contributions to COVID-19 prevention and control activities in the province. Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the NA deputy delegation of Hoa Binh, joined representatives from 10 collectives and 95 individuals representing thousands of medical workers across the province at the event.

Addressing the event, Ngo Van Tuan, Secretary of
the provincial Party Committee highlighted the role of the health care sector
to the development of the province and the country, especially during the
COVID-19 pandemic. He expressed hope that the sector will continue
to take drastic measures to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 and speed up
COVID-19 vaccination, while enhancing public health care. The provincial leaderalso asked relevant
agencies to support the sector in caring for public health.

Meanwhile, Bui Van Khanh, Chairman of the
provincial People’s Committee underlined that medical workers have overcome
numerous difficulties to protect people during the COVID-19 pandemic. He asked
medical facilities with staff joining COVID-19 fight to design policies to
support and care for physical and mental health of the force.
At the ceremony, the Secretary of the provincial
Party Committee handed over the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit to the
Hoa Binh Centre for Disease Control. The Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s
Committee presented certificates of merit to five collectives and 95
individuals with outstanding contributions to the COVID-19 fight. The
provincial People’s Committee also presented the flag of emulation to one
collective and certificates of merits to three others./.
With a focus on maintaining a close contact with the people, local authorities at all levels of Hoa Binh have implemented a range of measures to ensure security and order in ethnic minority-inhabited areas, improving their legal awareness, combating crime and social vices, and contributing to maintaining political stability and social order, while promoting socio-economic development in these areas.
