(HBO) - Following the direction of the provincial People's Committee, Yen Thuy district has been implementing administrative reforms, in order to better accompany and support businesses and people. Over the past time, the district’s Party Committee and People’s Committee paid great attention to administrative reform activities. Review of administrative procedures for simplification has been carried out regularly.

The process of receiving and returning applications for administrative procedures has been improved to meet the need of organisations and citizens. All agencies have publicised administrative procedures and handling processes and used software to manage documents.

12 out of 13 district-level departments have been handling administrative procedures in accordance with ISO standards. The handling process is regularly reviewed, assessed, and updated to better serve public service users.

All agencies and units have issued workplace regulations and those relating to internal spending, public asset management, and use, and coordination among sectors, departments and agencies.

Meetings and dialogues between the district’s leaders and people are organised regularly, focusing on issues of public concern such as land clearance and land-use right certificate granting.

Over the last five years, the district organised 36 meetings and dialogues, which helped the leaders listen to people’s concerns and timely address issues.

The district cooperated with provincial-level departments and agencies to handle issues in the investment environment, provide investors with proper information, learn about their problems, and support them to solve the problems. Specifically, the district authorities have directed the land clearance for the building of a road connecting Ho Chi Minh Highway and National Highway 12B. It settled administrative boundaries between Hong hamlet, Bao Hieu commune and Loc Thanh hamlet, An Lac commune (now Thong Nhat commune); between Ba Cau hamlet, Ngoc Luong commune with Nho Quan district of Ninh Binh province.

Bui Huyen, Vice Chairman of Yen Thuy district People's Committee, said that the district will strengthen coordination with relevant departments, branches, and units to remove difficulties for production and business in the coming time.

It will also accelerate the disbursement of investment capital, and drastically direct the implementation of key tasks to better support businesses and people, contributing to local socio-economic development.
