(HBO) - Currently, 100% of communes and towns in Lac Thuy district have effectively implemented digital transformation and improved the building of e-government to better serve local people, according to Nguyen Thanh Thoa, head of the Lac Thuy district Internal Affairs Department,
Staff of the "single-window" unit in Hung Thi commune (Lac Thuy) trained to carry out digitalisation in handling administrative procedures.
To bring digital transformation to life, and to shift from traditional to digital transactions, the district has directed the establishment of 113 community-based technology groups, including one at the district level. The groups are responsible for disseminating and guiding people on how to install and use information technology applications to perform electronic administrative transactions when needed. The efforts have initially brought about many remarkable results, especially in transforming people's thinking about accessing and using online public services.
Along with improving the effectiveness of dissemination work, Lac Thuy focuses on investing resources in upgrading the information infrastructure system. From the beginning of this year to late August, the district received 5,673 administrative procedure documents, of which 5,251 or 92.5% of the total were submitted online through the public service portal, exceeding the target assigned by the province by 37.5%.
Thoa attributed this to the district’s efforts to innovate and improve the efficiency of the "single-window" unit. Every year, the district People's Committee promulgates plans to review and evaluate administrative procedures and cut the duration of settlement, thus contributing to reducing time and travel costs, and improving people’s satisfaction.
With the results achieved in digitalising the settlement of administrative procedures, the satisfaction index of local people and businesses has improved, with over 98% of people surveyed saying they feel satisfied, Thoa added.
