Acknowledging the significance of revamping leadership methods and directing patriotic emulation movements, and considering the detection and promotion of role models one of crucial drivers for the effective implementation of the emulation and reward work, Hoa Binh province has issued numerous documents, asking agencies, units and agencies to regularly review emulation movements, and praise and launch campaigns among role models.

The provincial Emulation - Reward Board evaluates the
model "Building an educational environment associated with local cultural
identity for kindergarten children” at Lac Sy Kindergarten in Yen Thuy
district.
Agencies and localities have
been urged to step up the communications work, promote emulation movements, and
replicate effective and new models and exemplars in working and studying among
the community and the society at large.
Last year, the provincial
People's Committee honoured 37 role models in emulation movements and
activities in various sectors, including 23 collectives, seven households, and
seven individuals. Forty-five exemplars, including 20 collectives, 13
households, and 12 individuals, have been commended this year.
Lac Sy Kindergarten in Yen
Thuy district is an outstanding educational institution with the model
"Building an educational environment associated with local cultural
identity for kindergarten children".
According to its leaders, the
kindergarten has built a cultural space, including a stilt house with household
utensils used by the Muong people and their families such as bamboo baskets,
knives and crossbows. A "culinary culture" space has also been set up
to help children understand the custom and practices of the ethnic group
through a traditional kitchen with some specialties, including fermented pork.
Besides, the school has established a "traditional costume culture"
space and a recreational area with traditional folk games. This model helps
educate children about their origins, and love for their homeland, thereby raising
their awareness of preserving the traditional cultural identity.
Role models are found not
only in the educational sector but also other fields such as charity with the
model "Accompanying students to school", which has been carried out
by the province’s Military Command since 2016, and replicated in agencies and
units of the provincial armed forces.
The provincial armed forces
in co-ordination with all-level Party Committees, authorities, organisations,
businesses and donors have so far presented 3,737 bicycles, a wheelchair, 1,059
school bags, 208 computers, and 750 health insurance cards, and supported 152
disadvantaged students, with total funding of 7.2 billion VND (283,771 USD).
Regarding the healthcare
sector, the model "Applying information technology in remote medical
examinations at some commune health stations in Hoa Binh city" by the
provincial General Hospital has contributed to improving the quality of health
check-ups and treatment at commune health stations.
According to Bui Ngoc Dai, Deputy Director of
the provincial Department of Home Affairs, Hoa Binh is striving to realise the
resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, the 17th provincial Party
Congress, and all-level Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. To this end, it
is necessary to replicate role models in various aspects of social life,
promote patriotic emulation movements, encourage officials and people of all
social strata to overcome difficulties and fulfill assigned tasks, contributing
to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development
goals.
On May 15, the Hoa Binh Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation launched the "Digital Literacy for All” movement. The event was held both in-person and virtually, connecting provincial authorities with district-level Party committees and local communities across communes, wards, and townships.
The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh province on May 16 held a conference to honour outstanding intellectuals for their contributions in 2025.
The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee has held a conference to announce the provincial Party Committee’s decision about the merger of Hoa Binh Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station, along with the Standing Board’s appointment decisions.
After the historic victory on April 30, 1975, which liberated the South and reunified the country, the whole Vietnam embarked on a new mission — promoting peace and reconstructing the nation with century-defining projects. On the fierce Da River, over 30,000 engineers, sappers, and construction workers battled against rocky mountains and raging floods to achieve a remarkable feat. The Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia at that time, officially began generating electricity, lighting up the North and ushering in a new era of industrialisation.
Muong Dong in Kim Boi district, one of the four major Muong regions in Hoa Binh province, is harnessing its revolutionary legacy and cultural heritage to drive socio-economic transformation.
Throughout April, the joyful atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification spread nationwide. Together with the whole country, residents in Hoa Binh city also expressed their patriotism through meaningful and practical actions.
