In line with the
Prime Minister's Decision No. 749/QĐ-TTg on the "National Digital
Transformation Program to 2025 with a Vision to 2030”, which prioritizes the
healthcare as a key sector for the digital transformation, and the Ministry of
Health's Decision 5316/QĐ-BYT, Hoa Binh General Hospital has emerged as a
pioneer in the digital transformation within Hoa Binh's healthcare sector.
The hospital has
invested in the infrastructure and implemented IT applications in its medical
services. Currently, 100% of the hospital's departments are equipped with
networked computers. Various software systems, including HIS, LIS, PACS, and
other support applications, have been installed and are in use. The hospital
has also promoted the use of electronic medical records, an electronic
prescription management system, remote medical consultations, and the
development of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in healthcare. In May
2024, the hospital launched an online appointment registration system through a
mobile app and a free hotline, which has been well-received by patients. One
notable smart application introduced by the hospital is the Picture Archiving
and Communication System (PACS), allowing the storage and online access to all
diagnostic imaging data. Doctors and patients can view the images from
anywhere. The digital transformation efforts have brought significant benefits
to the hospital's operations and services.
