(HBO) – The 13th forum on cooperation and connectivity for the development of enterprises in the northern region has been jointly held in the northern province of Hoa Binh by the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the provincial People’s Committee.
(HBO) - The effective implementation of resolutions, mechanisms and policies of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee regarding agriculture and rural development has created a momentum for local agricultural products to establish their position in the domestic market, towards export. The productivity, quality and economic value of these products have been improved rapidly, and production areas have been formed with high added values. The sector is expected to grow 5.6 percent this year, earning 140 million VND per ha.
(HBO) - Hoa Binh has met its goals set for import-export turnover in the 2015 – 2020 period, with the figure increasing from 545.5 million USD in 2015 to about 1.9 billion USD in 2020. As such, the average annual trade growth was recorded at 28.5 percent on average, with the export value raising 29.61 percent on an average annual basis. During the period, the province always enjoyed a trade surplus.
(HBO) – As Hoa Binh province pays special attention to foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction, it has actively carried out many solutions over the past years to create an optimal environment to invite FDI investors, including those from the Republic of Korea (RoK), said Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, at a recent meeting with a delegation from the RoK Embassy in Vietnam.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh province now counts total of 287 agricultural cooperatives, with 19 using high technologies in production and consumption, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Of the total, 81 have suspended operation or are newly-established.

(HBO) - The beginning of August was when the harvest of On Chau tangerines in Cao Phong started, opening up the harvest season of citrus fruit across the district. Local farmers said their tangerine trees produced a high yield this year and the fruit fetched higher prices against last year, at 24,000 – 25,000 VND per kg if bought right at the orchards. On Chau tangerines sell well both in and outside the province.

(HBO) – In the 2017-2020 period, the total investment for socio-economic infrastructure development in Hoa Binh has reached about 67.53 trillion VND (2.91 billion USD). Thanks to the investment, the socio-economic infrastructure has been strongly upgraded, as seen in the building and upgrade of many major transport routes, urban areas, industrial parks and clusters, electricity grids, information technology infrastructure, irrigation works, schools, hospitals, and culture-sport-tourism facilities, contributing to promoting economic development and improving the living conditions of locals.
(HBO) - Hoa Binh planned to plant 5,650 ha of concentrated forest in 2020. As of mid-August, it had completed the work on nearly 5,500 ha or over 97 percent of the plan. A number of districts reported significant results such as Kim Boi with 740 ha, Da Bac 720 ha, Lac Thuy 700 ha, and Tan Lac 600 ha.
