(HBO) – According to the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh, the province has focused on external relations work. Many orientations in the field have been flexibly applied into the reality, helping the locality mobilise resources from the outside for the local socio-economic development as well as security and defence.

The delegation from the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration visits the historical relic site of the location to hold the political training course and the preparatory congress for the second congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party in Cham Mat ward of Hoa Binh city.

In terms of economy, in recent years, the provincial leaders have actively connected with international organisations and diplomatic agencies, while joining various international and domestic events to introduce and promote the potential and strengths of the province.

At the same time, they have directed the implementation of measures to enhance the quality of the processing of administrative procedures, improving the business environment and the provincial competitiveness index, and supporting investors in removing their difficulties.

With the strong determination and comprehensive solutions, the province has shown strong performance in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and mobilising resources from the outside for the locality’s socio-economic growth.

So far, the province has lured 40 FDI projects with total registered capital of 654,361 million USD, along with official development assistance from various countries and organizations such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the German Development Bank, and the Economic Development Cooperation Fund.

The locality has hosted 19 ODA projects worth over 5 trillion VND, along with 49 other programmes and projects funded by foreign non-governmental organisations and sponsors with total capital of 16 million USD.

In the first 10 months of this year, the province signed 10 agreements and memoranda of understanding with foreign organisations and investors.

To improve the efficiency of economic diplomacy, the province has created optimal conditions for foreign organisations and individuals to visit and explore information of the province, thus building the outlines for the projects. Meanwhile, Hoa Binh has coordinated closely with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, thePeople's Aid Coordinating Committee and the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on issues related to the issuance, extension and transform of operation licences of foreign non-governmental organisations.

The province has support the issuance of APEC Business Trave Cards to enterprises operating in the province to give them best conditions in production and business.

External relations work has also shown efficiency in socio-cultural areas. Bui Thi Niem, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that for a locality with diverse cultures like Hoa Binh, the external relations activities have contributed to promoting the image of the province to people in and outside the country.

Currently, about 3,500 Hoa Binh people are living, working and studying abroad, mostly in Laos, Thailand, China, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and some European countries. The province has defined activities related to the community as an important task that helps strengthen the national solidarity and mobilise resources from the overseas community for the province’s development./.

On this day, the newly merged departments and agencies took proactive steps to arrange personnel, organise workflows, and implement tasks efficiently, ensuring that administrative procedures were carried out smoothly without interruption.
