A special art programme entitled ‘Resounding the country’s melody’ was held at the Hanoi Opera House on January 6 to honour the Party and fatherland.

The event was attended by Politburo members: President Tran Dai Quang and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue.

It is part of activities to celebrate the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival and mark the 88th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The programme, which was divided into three parts, drew the participation of numerous famous artists, singers and dancers.

The event featured various timeless songs, dances and documentary films praising the spring, the Party and nation as well as honour Vietnamese mothers and revolutionary contributors.

In addtion, the performances inspired the patriotism as well as urged Vietnamese people, particularly younger generations, to contribute to the cause of national construction and defence.

This is the second time the art programme was held by the To Quoc (Fatherland) online newspaper under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, following the first one in 2017.

These were not just ordinary artistic shows, but they were the meaningful journeys aimed at spreading cultural values, enhancing the spiritual life of the people and contributing to the preservation of ethnic minority cultural identities.
