At the end of May, the Hoa Binh Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe organized a series of performances for residents in Region 2 and Region 3 communes across the province. Bringing art to ethnic communities in remote, isolated, and especially disadvantaged areas has become a meaningful activity. These are not merely artistic performances but also journeys to disseminate cultural values, enrich spiritual life, and contribute to preserving the cultural identity of ethnic minorities.

At the cultural house of Dong Nang hamlet, Dong Bac commune, Kim Boi district, the troupe presented a program entitled "The Eternal Harmony of Muong Land", offering a spiritual gift to people in remote and isolated areas.

Mr. Bui Van Binh, a resident of Dong Nang hamlet, Dong Bac commune, Kim Boi district said: When the Hoa Binh Provincial Ethnic Art Troupe came to perform in our locality, we were truly delighted and thankful. I see this program as a meaningful way to convey the cultural identity of our ethnic groups to the people, a source of spiritual enrichment that encourages and uplifts the community after long days of hard work.

This event is part of a broader series of performances by the Hoa Binh Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe in Region 2 and 3 communes of Da Bac, Lac Son, Kim Boi, and Cao Phong districts.

Mrs. Trieu Thi Le Thuy, Deputy Head of the Hoa Binh Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe said: In 2025, the Provincial Ethnic Art Troupe has planned 18 performances in the districts of Lac Son, Kim Boi, Da Bac, Cao Phong. The goal is to bring distinctive cultural and artistic values to the public, enabling them to experience and appreciate diverse forms of art, including the traditional culture of the Muong ethnic group.

The program was meticulously prepared and artistically rich, yet remained accessible and resonant with the local audience. Alongside performances such as "Youth Dedicated to the Party” and"Uncle Ho is the Belief in Certain Victory”, the program featured items that showcased the distinctive cultural identities of the Muong, Thai, and Mong ethnic groups, as well as an exchange segment with local grassroots art teams.

The program also incorporated public education elements, communicating the Party's and State’s guidelines and policies through songs, narrations and artistic performances. Messages about environmental protection, new rural development, and socio-economic growth in ethnic minority areas were conveyed in a gentle yet impactful manner, helping to raise community awareness.

Mr. Luong Cong Tinh, Head of Dong Nang hamlet, Dong Bac commune, Kim Boi district shared: Despite unfavorable weather conditions, large crowds still came to enjoy the shows. I found the performances by the Hoa Binh Provincial Ethnic Art Troupe to be vibrant and deeply rooted in ethnic traditions.

The significance of such cultural events in fostering unity and pride among the ethnic communities. The art program "The Eternal Harmony of Muong Land" plays a vital role in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities. With dedication and a strong sense of responsibility, the effort to bring art to disadvantaged areas continues to inspire, bringing joy and confidence to communities throughout the province.

Born and growing in the heroic land of Muong Dong, Dinh Thi Kieu Dung, a resident in Bo town of Kim Boi district, in her childhood was nurtured by the sweet lullabies of her grandmother and mother. These melodies deeply imprinted on her soul, becoming an inseparable part of her love for her ethnic group's culture. For over 20 years, this love for her hometown has driven Dung to research, collect, and pass down the cultural values of the Muong people to future generations.
