At the launching ceremony
Fashion Street of District 5 on Nguyen Trai Street is formed
naturally based on the shopping habits of the people. From a few clothing and
footwear shops, the street has gradually become a hub for many fashion shops,
attracting a large number of business people, especially over the national
holidays.
Fashion Street of District 5 has a favorable location due to its
proximity to Nguyen Trai Street which is one of the important roads
connecting District 1, District 5 and District 6.
The street has a length of nearly 2 kilometres, while it is 10m
wide and boasts pavements 3-5m wide. It begins at Nguyen Van Cu, passing
through Tran Phu intersection, Nguyen Duy Duong in the area of District 5’s
four wards: ward 2, ward 3, ward 7, and ward 8.
The street hosts more than 200 shops with various products:
clothing, footwear, bags, hats, and glasses.
The launch of the Fashion Street will help District 5 to promote
and develop tourism services in the district, while also rearranging the
business households, and improving the order of urban and environmental
sanitation in the district.
