(HBO) - On February 16, Lac Son district’s Party Committee organised a meeting with artisans, researchers, collectors, composers, and practitioners who have made important contributions to traditional culture preservation in the locality, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023.

Over the recent past, the Party committees and authorities at all levels in Lac Son district have paid special attention to the preservation of indigenous culture. The district Party Committee issued Resolution No. 08-NQ/HU, dated December 22, 2021, on preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group in the district; while the district People's Committee issued and implemented a project on the preservation and promotion of ethnic cultural identity in the district in the 2022-2025 period. These documents have raised the awareness of the majority of people about the conservation and promotion of the tradition cultural identity.
To date, the district has one People’s Artisan, eight Meritorious Artisans recognised by the State, one district-level Mo Muong club, 50 artisans practicing Mo Muong, and three poetry clubs.
At the meeting, 57 artisans and researchers who directly carry out the conservation of traditional culture were honoured, showing the attention and encouragement by the Party Committee and authorities to them. This meeting was also an opportunity for them to express their thoughts and aspirations, contribute ideas and propose solutions to preserve and promote the Muong ethnic identity, and develop clubs in order to preserve and teach Mo Muong and Muong folk songs./.

For over 20 years, this love for her hometown has driven Dung to research, collect, and pass down the cultural values of the Muong people to future generations.
In the final days of May, the Ethnic Art Troupe of Hoa Binh Province organized performances to serve the people in remote, mountainous, and particularly disadvantaged areas within the province. These were not just ordinary artistic shows, but they were the meaningful journeys aimed at spreading cultural values, enhancing the spiritual life of the people and contributing to the preservation of ethnic minority cultural identities.
