Tan Lac district police are meeting and
discussing measures to prevent crime in the area.
In the first six months of this year, Tan Lac
district police received 36 news reports, in which 27/36 news reports have been
investigated and verified, prosecuting 12 cases with 12 defendants, etc. In
order to concentrate on handling drug crime, the district police cooperated
with Division PC47 – the provincial Police to catch 8 cases, 9 subjects for
drug purchase, sale and possession of illegal drugs. In which, the district
police successfully broke three cases, seized many exhibits including drugs, 2
cars and 3 motorcycles, 7 mobile phones, 1 homemade gun, 6 bullets, 57 million
VND and many related documents. As a result, they have prosecuted four cases
with four defendants; transferred to Provincial Police Department 3 cases, 4
subjects for investigation; transferring to The Police of Mai Chau district 1
case, 1 object for investigation; The rate of case resolution is 100%. At
present, the district police strictly control 99 addicts in the area; through
regular calls, deterrence, education about 100 people of addicts; Guiding 17
out of 24 communes and towns to set up 19 new dossiers applying the measure of
education administrative solution in the localities; 8 dossiers to send the
subjects to compulsory rehabilitation establishments; 28 drug addicts being
treated with methadone drug.
