in the population work, Na Phon commune always updates the Resolutions of the
Party Executive Committee, The provincial Party Committee’s Resolutions and the
documents guiding the implementation of population policy to inform to the

commune strengthens the propaganda so that the local people do not
misunderstand the direction view of Resolution No.21, continuing to promote
propaganda and advocacy on population policy, focusing on the purpose,
significance, importance and effectiveness of the quality of population,
mobilizing young people to conduct pre-marital counseling and medical
examinations; pregnant women perform screening, diagnosis, treatment of some
diseases before having baby. Raising awareness about the harm, implication,
strict implementation of the law on the ban on child marriage, near-blood
relations, mobilizing and promoting the roles of village elders, village chiefs
and people of prestige in the community to propagate to all people for raising
awareness of health protection.
In addition, Na Phon commune health station
has expanded its family planning network, implemented well the campaigns on
"Propaganda, mobilization of reproductive health services / family
planning services" to each household, contributing to increase the number
of couples using the modern contraceptive methods. In the whole commune, there
are 292/337 married couples in the reproductive age who apply modern
contraceptive methods, taking care of integrating family planning with HIV /
AIDS prevention and treatment. The elderly people are entitled to have right medical examination and
treatment according to regulations and regimes. In the medical examination and
treatment at the healthcare station, priority should be given to the elderly
for examination or bed for staying even when there are many patients at the
time of treatment.
The people in Hoa Binh province are aware of the need to build and preserve the cultural traditions and unique customs of their communities, especially those related to ethnic identities and family values which serve as foundation for a vibrant, tradition-rich Hoa Binh, enriching community life.
