Ms. Bui Thi Su, in Department of Infectious
Diseases and Vaccines, Center for Preventive Medicine (Preventive Medicine)
said: In the seasonal changing time, some respiratory diseases are at risk of
outbreaks. In addition, in October and November, there is still the risk of
rabies, in many cases, rabies vaccination must be used. Moreover, the
hand-foot-mouth disease is usually at the peak in October every year. The
disease of Japanese encephalitis in the third quarter of 2018 increased
rapidly, while transmission was complicated and recorded at many ages. Up to
October 10th, there were 67 cases of hand-foot-mouth disease and consecutive
outbreaks of new infections, 11 cases of Japanese encephalitis and
encephalitis. In the nine months of 2018, the province has recorded nearly
6,000 cases of influenza, 290 cases of mumps, 437 cases of chickenpox, 2,436
cases of diarrhea, 9 cases of dengue fever, etc.
According to the Provincial Center for
Preventive Medicine, it is predicted that in the coming time, when the climate
change to dry and cold winter, the respiratory infections will be at high risk
(flu, measles, mumps ...), especially in the object groups of weak resistance.
The Provincial Centers for Preventive Medicine and preventive medicine systems
in districts and cities shall intensify common infectious disease control
measures, hand-foot-and-mouth disease control solutions, continuing to
implement measures to prevent rabies, encephalitis; developing and implementing
a plan of winter-spring climate prevention
In order to prevent diseases during the
changing weather, the preventive medicine system in the province performs
sampling for pathogens. As recommended by doctors, people should actively learn
preventive measures to prevent and protect themselves. They can increase their
resistance by injecting vaccination; getting enough nutrition, drinking enough
water; doing regular exercise activities, training and physical training;
keeping the body warm when the weather is cold. Moreover, they should regularly
clean the environment, personal hygiene, utensils in contact with the mouth
such as bowls, chopsticks, cups with dishwashing liquid. Children should wear
masks to avoid dust, germs when going out. If there are signs of disease, they
should go to the medical facilities for examination and treatment.
