(HBO) – The aid board under the Standing Committee of the Hoa Binh province’s Fatherland Front (VFF) on March 31 handed over 45,000 face masks to forces at the frontline in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The
face masks will be distributed to 20 organisations and establishments,
including the Hoa Binh General Hospital, the provincial military school, the public
security school, the province’s Association of the Elderly, along with the provincial
Party Committee’s commissions for information and education, inspection,
internal affairs and organisation, the provincial VFF committee and 10
districts and city in the province.
The masks,
made of antibacterial cloth, were given by the Hoa Lam Group to support the
province’s efforts in COVID-19 prevention and control, in response to a call of
the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Provincial
officials personally handed over the aid to the general hospitals of the
province and Hoa Binh city, the provincial police department and the provincial
military school. Meanwhile, other organisations and establishments received
their share at the storage facility of the provincial VFF committee to prevent
the gathering of a large number of people in one place.
* Earlier the same day, the aid board
under the standing board of the provincial Fatherland Front committee received donations for the COVID-19 fight, namely 100
million VND (4,260 USD) from the provincial federation of labour, 20 million
VND from the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam – Hoa Binh branch,
and 45,000 face masks from the Hoa Lam Group.
Head
of the provincial Party Committee’s board for mass mobilisation and President
of the provincial Fatherland Front committee Nguyen Thi Oanh thanked the donors
for their support and pledged to promptly distribute the relief to those who
are most in need.
As
of March 31, nine organisations and individuals in Hoa Binh province and other
localities had presented more than 216.73 million VND and 45,000 face
masks./.
The people in Hoa Binh province are aware of the need to build and preserve the cultural traditions and unique customs of their communities, especially those related to ethnic identities and family values which serve as foundation for a vibrant, tradition-rich Hoa Binh, enriching community life. In recent years, the province’s Party Committee, authorities, and residents have paid heed to building and developing family values and fostering human standards in the new era.
The festival of great national solidarity and culture in 2024 was held at the communal house of Da Bac district on November 5. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan and leaders of departments and sectors attended the event.
The Labor Federation of Da Bac district has focused on protecting workers' rights while actively participating in patriotic emulation movements to enhance the creativity and productivity of the local workforces across agencies, organisations and enterprises.

The model of intergenerational self-help club (ISC) has been expanded in Mai Chau district over recent times, contributing to sharing and motivating the disadvantaged people, especially the elderly, to improve their lives.
Following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings that emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, the trade union at all levels in Hoa Binh has effectively implemented patriotism emulation movements, especially the "effective, creative working” movement. Responding to the movement, local workers, public servants, and officials have proposed many creative and applicable ideas, helping spread the movement to all agencies, units, and businesses.
