(HBO) – A great national unity festival was held in Ngoc Lam residential area in Cao Son commune of Luong Son district on November 2.
(HBO) - The Boarding High School & Secondary School for the ethnic minorities in Cao Phong district collaborated with the District’s Department of Culture and Sports to hold the opening ceremony of the class teaching Muong gongs for 50 students of the school and to launch the club of "Preserving Muong Thang cultural identity”.
(HBO) - On October 28, Yen Thuy district held the first congress of Mo Muong club, term 2022 - 2027. There were 27 delegates attending the congress, including 23 residents in Yen Thuy district, 4 delegates from Lac Thuy district. At the congress, the delegates heard a report on the results of the campaign to establish Mo Muong club of the district. The delegates officially consulted to elect the Executive Committee consisting of 9 magicians. The Executive Board elects a Standing Committee consisting of 3 magicians, in which, the magician Bui Quang Thom from Bao Hieu commune is the club's president, and the magician Truong Duc Him is the club's vice president.
(HBO) – In July 2022, Hoa Binh province’s bamboo calendar of "khaw Doi” (khao Roi, Roi constellation) was recognised as part of the national intangible cultural heritage. This creates a great joy for not only the Muong ethnic group but also the Vietnamese people since the calendar is a long-standing demonstration of folk knowledge that has been upheld and applied to daily activities by Muong people throughout history.
(HBO) – As many as 27 individuals in Hoa Binh were conferred the titles of people’s artisan and excellent artisan for their contributions to preserving and promoting intangible cultural heritage of the country in accordance with decisions by the State President.

(HBO) – A festival has been held in Sao Bay High School for young art troupes to popularise revolutionary songs. Themed "Hoa Binh youth move forward under the Party flag,” the event was jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) of Hoa Binh and Kim Boi district's Centre for Culture, Information and Communications.
(HBO) – For thousands of years, the Muong ethnic group has demonstrated their Khao Roi (Doi) calendar on 12 bamboo bars that are about 25cm to over 30cm in length. The bars are inscribed with 30 notches representing 30 days in a lunar month. The notches are signs or symbols demonstrating the weather factors or astronomic phenomena believed to affect those days.
(HBO) – Last year, the Party Committee, administration and people of Lac Son district in Hoa Binh province were honoured with a third-class Labour Order by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc in recognition for their efforts in the implementation of "All people unite to build the cultural life” movement in the 2000- 2020 period.
(HBO) – Bui Thanh Binh, Director of the Muong Cultural Heritage Museum in Thai Binh ward of Hoa Binh city (Hoa Binh province), has been spending decades helping preserve the Muong ethnic group’s culture.
(HBO) - Tan Lac district is proud to be one of the cradles of the Muong ethnic people, which was previously known as Muong Bi. Over the past years, ethnic groups have raised their awareness of preserving and upholding cultural identity.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh province is currently home to more than 120 relic sites of the Hoa Binh Civilisation. There haven’t been any relic sites of this civilisation’s early period (about over 30,000 - 20,000 years ago) found in the province. While some sites date back to the middle period (over 20,000 - over 10,000 years ago), the majority belong to the late period of the civilisation (over 10,000 - 7,000 years ago).
(HBO) – Phu Nghia commune in Lac Thuy district has 15 residential areas with 2,464 households. It is home to seven ethnic groups. There are two national relic sites in the commune: the banknote printing factory and the complex of Tien Pagoda caves, which attract millions of visitors each years. The locality boasts 13 active belief establishments.
(HBO) – With their strong enthusiasm and passion, Hoa Binh folk singers have worked hard to preserve and promote the value of folk melodies and popularise it in the contemporary life with a hope that the national cultural tradition will live forever.
(HBO) – The Hoa Binh Civilisation, dating back to the Stone Age, was discovered by French archaeologist Madeleine Colani and named after the cave relics found in the karst areas of Hoa Binh province. In Vietnam, its traces have been unearthed mostly in Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces (over 80% of the total relics), while the rest scatter in the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Lai Chau, Son La, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Ninh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and some others. Not only in Vietnam, this civilisation also existed across the mainland Southeast Asia, from southern China to Sumatra Island of Indonesia, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
(HBO) - One of the great literary values of Mo Muong is the value of language. Language is one of the most basic problems of Mo Muong. Just as bricks that are the building blocks of magnificent and monumental architectural works, language is the material constituting literary works in general, including Mo Muong in particular.
(HBO) - In the evening of July 31st, the art program "Hoa Binh - Sound of Muong Land”, receiving the national certificate for the intangible culture, Bamboo Calendar (Doi/Roi Calendar) and Khai Ha festival of Muong ethnic people in Hoa Binh province and Carnival festival in 2022 have officially closed in a brilliant fireworks display. The program marks a strong return to the province’s socio-economic activities after the effect of Covid-19 epidemics, opening the opportunities for tourism development based on the unique indigenous cultural values.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh City hosted a popularisation competition from July 30 – 31, bringing together nearly 500 performers and presenters from 19 commune- and ward-level teams.

(HBO) – In the recent past, the amateur musical movement in Luong Son district of Hoa Binh province has developed strongly. Amateur musical clubs and troupes have been set up in villages and residential areas with the participation of a large number of people of all ages, thus helping enrich the community’s spiritual life and preserve traditional cultural values.
(HBO) - Mai Chau mountainous district is known as a concentrated residential area of the Thai ethnic group. Although in the modern life, it is rare to see images of people wearing traditional clothes every day, Thai culture is still permeated through words, voices, customs or the image of stilt houses, festival activities, and folk songs and dances.
(HBO) - According to Plan No. 127 / KH-UBND, dated on July 18, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee, on July 31, our province hold the art program "Hoa Binh - the sound of Muong” and Carnival in 2022. It is a special art program combining the characteristics of the province's traditional culture with the modern, dramatic, artistic and engaging features.
