Da Hop Trading joint Stock Company, in coordination with the provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks and the Economic Security Division under the provincial Department of Public Security, organised the 2024 All People’s Security Safeguard Festival and the debut of a council in charge of security-order protection and fire prevention of Da River Left Bank Industrial Park in Hoa Binh city on August 11. Participants at the event included Nguyen Van Toan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Colonel Do Thanh Binh, Director of the province’s Department of Public Security (DoPS) and representatives from the Economic Security Division and local businesses and units.
For the past few months, Bui Van Hoa from Binh Tan village, Nam Thuong commune, Kim Boi district, has been taking his granddaughter to the village cultural centre almost every day. According to him, the centre once deteriorated with no sports equipment available, and only the youth came there for football. With a local new-style rural development drive, families pooled their resources to purchase sports equipment and give it a facelift. Now, with a place to play and exercise in, children spend more time outdoors during summer and less time on their phones, he said.

A project to build a road from Da Bac town (Da Bac) to Thanh Son district of Phu Tho province is invested by the People's Committee of Da Bac district with a total capital of 250 billion VND (9.8 million USD). When completed, it will be a vital traffic route connecting the two provinces, contributing to the development of the road traffic infrastructure system in Da Bac district, and adding motivation to promote local socio-economic development.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Lac Son district on the results of building the new and improved rural areas in the district, there are currently 4 communes reaching 10 - 14 criteria, including Nhan Nghia, Tan Lap, Yen Phu and Tan My; There are 6 communes that meet less than 10 criteria, including Vu Binh, Xuat Hoa, Thuong Coc, Yen Nghiep, Huong Nhuong, and An Nghia. The average number of the newly improved rural criteria has reached 9.6 criteria each commune so far.
Having implemented a project on developing the agro-forestry sector and capitalising on the locality’s potential and strengths to produce goods in value chain, Kim Boi district of Hoa Binh province has generated jobs for local residents, helping them to create sustainable livelihoods.

In Tan Lac district no communes are meeting the standards of the advanced new rural areas so far. There are 10 out of the 15 communes meeting the standards of the new rural areas, an average of 16.0 criteria for every commune. According to the implementation plan of the National Target Program to build new rural areas in 2024, the district aims to have one more commune meeting the new rural standards this year, it is Ngo Luong; Two communes meeting the standards of the advanced rural areas are Dong Lai and Tu Ne; trying to reach an average of 16.5 criteria a commune by the end of the year and there are 3 more products being recognized OCOP.
Up to now, Kim Boi district has 6 out of the16 communes meeting the standards of the new rural areas including communes: Nam Thuong, Sao Bay, Vinh Dong, My Hoa, Dong Bac, Vinh Tien (reaching 37.5%); no communes are meeting the standards of the advanced or model rural areas.
A delegation led by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, paid a working visit to Mien Doi commune, Lac Son district, on June 13. joining the working delegation were Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dinh Cong Su and leaders of some departments and agencies, among others.
