In 2023, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province directed well the implementation of the New rural construction program. Hoa Binh province has 7 more communes meeting new rural standards, the total number of communes in the whole province meet new rural standards 80 communes; on average, it achieved 16.2 criteria/commune.
In order to complete targets and criteria in population, the Population-Family Planning Sub-Department of Hoa Binh has strengthened communications to enhance public awareness and change community’s behaviours on population and development in the new situation.
Recently, from the "For a Beautiful Life” fund, Dai-ichi Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited and the National Fund for Vietnamese Children donated 100 scholarships worth 1 million VND (41 USD) each to students with special and difficult circumstances of Vay Nua Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School in Vay Nua commune of Hoa Binh province's Da Bac district.
The effective and timely implementation of the preferential credit programme at the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) has helped many households from ethnic minority groups in poor areas of Da Bac district overcome difficulties and improve their income.
