(HBO) - Over the recent years, Tan Lac district has fully and promptly implemented programmes, projects and policies dedicated to mountainous and ethnic-inhabited areas, contributing to improving people's lives, and speeding up poverty reduction and new-style rural area building in the locality.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh city is now home to 19 associations for promoting education in communes and wards, with 214 smaller associations in residential areas and nine education promotion committees with nearly 34,000 members. By the end of 2021, there were 290 poor households in the commune, accounting for 13.3% while households living near the poverty line were 196, making up 8.99% of the locality’s population.

(HBO) - According to the project implementing the National Target Program for the Socio-economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in the period of 2021-2030, Phase 1 from 2021-2025, there are over 3,900 ethnic minirity households lacking production land, there are over 1,300 households lacking residential land and over 3,800 households lacking housing and they are in need of support. This is identified as an urgent problem in ethnic minority areas.

(HBO) – As part of efforts to implement a project to support disadvantaged senior citizens (VIE070), and another to reduce the vulnerability of the elderly in income and health in Vietnam (VIE071), Da Bac district of Hoa Binh province has so far established five inter-generational self-help clubs with 260 members. With practical and useful activities, these clubs have helped improve the living conditions of members.
