(HBO) - The resolution of the 17th Party Congress of Hoa Binh province set targets of the province’s economy reaching the national average, 10 trillion VND in State budget collection, and economic development in line with sustainable environmental protection, and the provincial competitiveness index up at least 3 steps each year by 2025.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh has seen positive changes in investment attraction and implementation of investment projects, which contributed to provincial socio-economic development. However, many difficulties and obstacles still remain, with many projects delayed. Specifically, as many as 284 investment projects have been behind schedule, of which 211 projects are implementing land procedures (98 projects are being delayed). Most of those projects have encountered problems in the process of compensation and site clearance.

In recent years, with the diversification of the channels of introduction and job creation, the effective and strict management of sending laborers to work abroad and foreign employees working in the province, labor export has been promoted. On average, there are 300-400 people working in the foreign labor market in the province each year. However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemics, this work has faced a lot of difficulties since 2019. According to the plan of 2021, the new jobs for 16,000 workers is created in the whole province, trying to achieve the export target of 320 workers.
(HBO) – Hoa Binh province's Lac Son district has a total forestry area of 35,256 hectares, covering 60.7 percent of its natural land. Of the total area, 12,432.5 hectares has been put in the planning of special-use forest, along with 8,961 hectares of protective forest and 13,862.3 hectares of production forest. The ratio of forest coverage in the district is 53 percent.
